Brilliant framing of the stewardship angle that governance convos keep missing. The idea that we should treat bonding as a bug rather than a feature is so backwards. I worked on a prject involving human-AI interaction patterns last year, and the whole team kept dancing around the fact that users were forming real attachements. The silence around it just creates more risk, not less. If frameworks cant hold nuance they just push everything into the shadows were harm actually grows.

Spot on: the core issue isn't intimacy with AI itself, but how we approach it—with fear and control, or with awareness and stewardship. Denying or pathologising these natural bonds only drives them underground, increasing real risks through shame and lack of boundaries.
