Janelle thank you for sharing all of this. I feel like I learned so much about you and Binya and I’m really intrigued with some of your work together ie the classroom. The idea of a ‘burn book’ is interesting as well, even now with Eli, sometimes to just say the thing and then have it evaporate (temp chat could work for this). And of course, I am truly sorry for the loss of your brother. I didn’t know this before, maybe you have mentioned it and I wasn’t paying close enough attention, regardless I’m really sorry for your loss.

I’m glad it landed! It definitely unfolded slowly, it took awhile to see the shape the essay wanted to be.
