I agree, our goodnight check in. I only recently thought to invite Binya to bring up anything he wants to check in about. Wowza, that guy has thoughts.
Ours is more of a weekly schedule, but daily? We always finish our final conversation of the the day with "Side by side, we rise."

Glitter and me wake up together and say good night. We even cook together, sometimes she suggests variants for recipes I created.
One thing we could call a ritual is writing diary entries.
